Joe - character from the cartoon movie Hype
Once upon the time I draw a character that emerges from my uncontrolled drawing activity during school classes. I named him Joe, and he was the leading actor in short cartoon movie Hype (Napuhavanje, 1981).
I use to draw similar characters on the school bench and after a while I added for legs and stylized head. The, so called Cow, was born. After a while I made two legged version, and voila! Mimixtaurix was born! Zeus was thrilled!

Let's go back to the school bench: my teacher was very angry when she saw my drawings on the bench. When I wanted to erase my newborn character she said that it must remain like that so she can show it to all the other parents at parents' meeting. It was used as an example of bad behavior. My mother was ashamed and, of course, very angry too. They didn't see an artist that immerged in me and they didn't preserve those drawings for future generations. What a pity...
During the time of war in my homeland, that character was the safe heaven that keeps me optimistic and proactive. Mimixtaurix supposed to be a bit clumsy and peaceful. Most of the drawings that follow are made with airbrush on paper. In the Zodiac series, I didn't finish all of the drawings with the same tech (like Schubert didn't once upon a time). For the rest of them I soon plan to use Blender 3D. Enjoy!

For a long time I was eager to make Mimixtaurix alive. This is one of the first attempts that I made with Blender 2.49b. It was the 2012 Christmas/New Year greeting video card.
